The First Global Digital Economy Startup Contest-Silicon Val

On October 11th, the 1st Global Digital Economy Startup Contest of Shaoxing China Silicon Valley Division was successfully held in Shaoxing.
A total of 12 overseas projects participated in the contest, and the project road show was conducted through the ‘video connection’. The theme of the contest was centered on the ‘digital economy’.

 





 
We were honored to invited Luo Jihong, deputy director of Shaoxing Municipal People's and Social Security Bureau, Qiu Jian, founder of Homevalley, Sui Wenquan, president of Hanyang Capital Management, Yi Shenshen, partner of Beihang Changying Capital Management, Sun Xiaohan, partner of Granview Investment, Feng Bing, partner of ChinaRock Capital Management and many other masters of well-known enterprises and venture capital investment institutions in the industry to the contest as the jury members.

We had the most projects this time in the whole contest series due to the intercontinental crossing and the time difference. After 4 hours’ competing, 3 of 12 participating projects went into the finals, they were ‘Neural Concept’, ’Avagrows-avasmart garden’, ‘Emotion Research LAB’. Congratulations to them and wish good results in the finals of Shaoxing.

 
Projects Won the Prizes

 

Neural Concept
 
Neural Concept developed an artificial intelligence algorithm platform based on optimization algorithms, which was developed using deep learning techniques and said to allow companies to propose design choices, accelerate the pace of the development cycle, and reduce computational costs. The platform had been used in the energy, naval, aerospace and automotive industries. The company was supported by companies such as Venture Kick, EPFL Innogrants, and Bridge.
 

Avagrows-avasmart Garden
 
Avagrows-avasmart garden was a dynamic team founded by several gastronomes enthusiastic in science and technology and keen on bring fresh food to the world. ‘Fast, sustainable and low maintenance’ AVA Byte was an iconic way of indoor gardening and designed beautifully. It knew exactly how to care for your plants by using HD cameras and environmental sensors filled with intelligent technology.
 

Emotion Research LAB
 
Emotion Research LAB provided a facial emotion recognition platform using computer vision technology to decode a person's expression and provide an observational report of the user's participation, emotions, and other attributes in marketing, advertising, retail and other industry applications.
