Semi-final Competition in Silicon Valley Area

On July 26th U.S. Time, first overseas semi-final of 2018 The Third Yangpu "Global Startup Competition" was successfully held in Silicon Valley.
Starting at 9:30am, Qiu Jian, founder of Homevalley, gave the opening speech and welcomed judges, guests and contestants, and appreciated the support from San Francisco Bay Area Council.

He said that today's semi-final was not only the first overseas division of Global Startup Comeptition, but also the first stop of going abroad. Silicon Valley is a global technology innovation center which meets the needs of Yangpu District. He also gave the best wishes to all the contestants.
With huge influence, more than 100 startups registered for this overseas competition and many investors came to the competition site.
After the intense online preliminary, 20 startups from AI, Big Data, Healthcare Technology, New Material and other popular industries participated in this semi-final competition and presented their projects.

According to competition rule, 5 judges greaded projects on-site. We invited Michael Zhong, Global Deputy General Manager of Techcode Accelerator, Del Christensen, Global Business Development Manager of Bay Area Council, Ding Shengxiang, Partner of Zenith Capital, Liu Bo, Partner of Zhonghe Capital, Qiu Jian, Founder of Homevalley as judges.
Semi-final of Silicon Valley Division ended with the short award ceremony. 10 projects were promoted to the final competiiton in Shanghai. Smart Music, High-speed optical communication chip, and New high-sensitivity artificial hearing aid won the first three prizes.

Through the successful holding of the semi-final in Silicon Valley, this competition not only introduced the international advanced innovation and entrepreneurship incubation mechanism, absorbed successful experience, improved the quality of innovation and entrepreneurship services, but also demonstrated the vitality of Shanghai Yangpu entrepreneurship to the world, once again giving Yangpu a new Business card of an international city.
