The denunciation towards Trump's withdrawl of Paris Agreement has not yet receded, the news of polar bears might be dying because of melting glaciers came out. Those events warn people that environmental protection is unavoidable! The management of carbon emission has attracted great attention from all over the world. In order to let more people know about carbon emissions and master practical skills, Homevalley cooperated with Shanghai Environmental Energy Exchange (a national environmental energy trading platform and authority) to start a training course on Carbon Asset Management on August 10th and 11th, and received support from Yangpu District Human Resources and Social Security Bureau. Participants were from various fields such as architecture technology, information technology, heating systems and medical systems.
Fan Hua and Li Jin from Shanghai Environmental Energy Exchange center, Wang Xueyuan from Shanghai Information Center and Hu Jing from Shanghai Academy of Environmental Sciences shared relevant theory and practical knowledge about carbon market development and policy interpretation, carbon market trading rules and practices and carbon quota allocation analysis and carbon verification.
Next day, managers from carbon asset management companies shared their management experience.
Besides those theories, professor Sang Yi from Shanghai Environment and Energy Exchange lead and guided students into dufferent roles to simulate a carbon trading management process scenario. Participants deepened their understanding of carbon asset management after the intense and active practice.
In the end, participants did the on-site assessment, approved participants received Carbon Asset Manager Training Certificate issued by Shanghai Environmental Energy Exchange. This is also the first batch of Certificates issued by authoritative institutions since China launched the national carbon market at the end of 2017.
