On the entry form, participants should fill in the complete and accurate registration information as required.

• Preliminary Rules

1. Preliminaries time: July 1 to July 14.
2. Each park, incubator and institution will organize their own respective selection. In Silicon Valley region, 20 companies will be selected to enter the local semi-final.
3. The list of companies that will advance to the semi-finals will be announced on the official website of the competition http://homevalley.net as well as Homevalley's Wechat on July 19th.

• Semi-Finals (roadshow) Rules

1. Semi-finals time: July 26th.
2. The judges will make their decision based on the candidates’ presentation performance and defense. The list of companies selected for the semi-finals will be announced on the official website of the competition and Homevalley's Wechat.
3. The participating company must send their most updated road show PPT (file name format: project name - the applicant's name) to the competition's official e-mail address: 2018@homevalley.net before the semi-finals. If it is overdue, the road show PPT will be the same as the previously submitted business plan.
4. The 20 participating companies will conduct road shows (10 minutes) and defenses (5 minutes) on site.
5. The pitcher must be the founder or a key member of the company.
6. There will be 7 judges at the event venue.
7. The scoring rubric shall be jointly collected and verified by the staff of the competition venue, the organizers of the competition and the assessment team leader. The list of companies selected for the finals competition will be announced on the official website of the competition as well as Homevalley's Wechat.
 

• Final Rules

1. Finals time: late September.
2. The participating company must send their most updated road show PPT (named in the format: project name - the applicant's name) to the competition's official e-mail address: 2018@homevalley.net before the finals. If it is overdue, the BP used in the semi-finals will be used again.
3. The pitcher must be the founder or the key member of the company.
4. Silicon Valley finalists will be among the 150 companies selected from around the world for the finals.
5. Companies will be evaluated at the main stadium in Yangpu, Shanghai. They will conduct a project road show (10 minutes) and a defense (5 minutes.) The judges will select 100 projects for the final awards list.
6. There will be 7 judges present for all presentations.
7. The scoring rubric will be collected and verified by the organizers of the competition and the assessment team leader. The rankings will be announced on the official website of the competition as well as Homevalley's Wechat.

• Awards

The awards for this competition will be a fifty-fifty split of grants provided by the Yangpu District Government and venture capital investment. The total support fund is about 200 million RMB (about 30 million US dollars) and supports 100 winning companies. • Backup Measures

If companies fail to attend the semi-finals, finals, or unable to fulfill the requirements to win the awards within the specified time due to personal reasons, they will be disqualified. The competition organizer will initiate backup to take the spot, as well as providing them with the same qualifications and incentives.
 

• Other Considerations

1. Participants must not exchange business cards or communicate privately with the judges to ensure the fairness and fairness of the scores.
2.The entire road show will be video recorded, please strictly follow the provisions of the organizers and do not resort to falsification.
3. In the semi-finals and finals, participating companies must report to the venue at the respective time according to notice. If they fail to arrive at the venue within the specific time, they are deemed to have renounce their participation automatically.
4. All presenters are prohibited from video recording, sound recording and taking photos privately.
